GEO-Information Services Capabilities Showcase
Astrium Services' Geo-Information division is a Silver Sponsor at the 25th International Cartographic Conference (ICC) being held from 3rd to 8th July this year at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, France. The company offers geo-information services that span the entire chain to clients. At ICC, solutions derived from airborne and satellite remote sensing data will be demonstrated.
According to Patrick Le Roch, Astrium Services' GEO-Information Divisional Managing Director, "This year alone, Astrium GEO-Information Services' teams have been delivering geo-solutions to help monitor nuclear power plants, track floods in Australia, and provide vital data following the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan, demonstrating how our mix of geo-applications and services can bring a new dimension to problem solving even under the most difficult circumstances. Where there's a pressing requirement for rapid, accurate and meaningful information, our geo-information services have an increasingly important role to play.
As operators of SPOT satellites, exclusive commercial marketers of TerraSAR-X & TanDEM-X, and with unique access to a broad range of other spaceborne and airborne acquisition capabilities, Astrium Services' GEO-Information division can provide customers with an combination of Earth imagery, both optical and radar, as well as value-added expertise in a variety of vertical markets such as oil and gas exploration, emergency response, and forest monitoring.
Astrium GEO-Information Services experts speaking at the ICC include D. Clavet and M. Bernard who will present innovative solutions for mapping northern Canada at Session C1 on Wednesday 6th July at 9:30 am; H.
